Principal's Message
Welcome to Mountain View Elementary!
Mountain View Elementary is a welcoming and friendly community focused on meeting students’ needs academically, socially, and emotionally in grades Kindergarten through sixth. The open-concept environment lends itself to a family atmosphere where students, teachers and staff easily collaborate. We are strong advocates for students in partnership with our families.
Mountain View has numerous school and community resources to support our students including a full-time Counselor, two reading and math Title Interventionists, and two Special Education certified teachers. Weekly, our students participate in Art, PE, Music, Counseling, and Library grades K-6 and orchestra/band for grades 5th-6th. Through AWARE, Comprehensive School and Community Treatment (CSCT), we have two mental therapists and two behavior specialists that support students that qualify during the school day and during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
You are invited to join our PTA as we continue to strive for excellence, their Facebook page is, “Mountain View News.”
As a community we are open to feedback and ideas to help us to continue to improve our practices in best serving our students and families. Please, contact our school staff with questions, suggestions, or concerns as it relates to your child’s success here at Mountain View. Please, check our school website frequently for upcoming events and important information. By contacting the administrative assistant, families can receive a password to keep up on their child’s assignments and grades through our reporting system, Powerschool
If you would like to meet with me in-person, please, feel free to contact our Administrative Assistant Marylee Theus to schedule a time.
We look forward to partnering with you to support you child!
